Covid-19 Protocols Latest 13.7.20
HAYBERGILL CENTRE IS A COVID-19 SECURE WORKPLACE
Haybergill is secluded from general circulation with no neighbours or unknown visitors, and is therefore, a relatively safe place to be with plenty of space and fresh air. You will know everybody on our premises, your own group, our small team of hosts and of course Kody and Mallie.
We take the risk of Covid-19 seriously and have in place protocols to protect both visitors and staff. We have social distancing in all areas of the Centre and are taking care to clean and sterilise regularly. Our hosts will be wearing the appropriate PPE for everyone’s protection. At present this means disposable aprons over our uniform, plastic gloves and masks whenever we are in communal areas.
Although the Haybergill way of operating will have be different, we believe you will still feel fully cared for in an unobtrusive way, ensuring you still have a chilled, relaxed, fun time.
From August you can book individual bedrooms on a B&B basis plus evening meals and packed lunches if pre booked and from September we hope to be able to welcome fully catered groups of up to 12 using all the buildings.
SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES
We would love to welcome you back with a big hug unfortunately at the moment we all must keep our distance.
You will be responsible for maintaining social distancing. We will place spots on the main room floor 2m apart to help you organise yourselves and the dining room furniture will be set out to incorporate the 2m distancing. Designated ways in and out of the building will be marked and explained so that doorways do not become a bottle neck. For now, the Arctic hut and Sauna will remain closed.
Guests will stay in single en-suitrooms unless they are from the same household or have formed a friendship bubble and wish to share a bedroom. All rooms have single beds. Everyone will be expected to return to their own rooms and use the kettle provided to make drinks and to use their own bathrooms.
Everyone will be expected to wash their hands frequently with soap and water. A portable sink will be in the entrance foyer for use on arrival, returning from offsite excursions and before entering the dining room. Sanitising gel will also be provided in critical locations.
Door handles, light switches, communal surfaces and handrails will be cleaned frequently throughout your stay.
To ensure the safety of guests and staff the hosts will not be servicing bedrooms during your stay unless there is a maintenance issue and we recommend you bring your own toiletries and towels.
For everyone’s peace of mind we will be doing a deep clean of the whole centre between groups and there will be at least 3 days between a group leaving and another arriving.
Cushions, blankets and bedspreads will not routinely be in the bedrooms but please speak to a host should you require any item.
Until further notice we will not be able to operate our usual self-service buffet style meals. Also, the help yourself fridges will be temporarily unavailable! Remember we are fully licensed and a selection of wines and beers will be available for purchase, just ask the one of our hosts.
All meals will now be served by staff at an agreed time with you. As always, they will be lovingly with ingredients prepared from local produce and our polytunnel. Individually wrapped biscuits & cake will be available for break times and fruit available on request.
To protect everyone staff and visitors should not enter Haybergill if they have been in contact with anyone who has Covid-19 symptoms or has been asked to self-isolate for any reason or has any one of the main symptoms themselves.
Loss of smell/taste
If you are feeling unwell in any way, we expect everyone to use the NHS system symptom checker and follow the guidance given.
Should you start to feel unwell whilst staying at Haybergill please stay in your bedroom and contact Maggie or Mick immediately (Telephone numbers will be in each bedroom)
In line with government requirement each person staying at Haybergill will need to complete our registration form prior to arrival. We are required to keep this record on file for 3 weeks after your stay solely to assist with the NHS contact tracing. After this time, the data will be destroyed.
